Japan: Square-Enix announces third fourth GBA game
Square-Enix recently announced on their Dragon Quest page, Torneko's Great Adventure 3 Advance for the Game Boy Advance, and mentions a release on June 24 for the price of 6279 yen.
The game happens to be a port of the hit PlayStation 2 monster-collecting RPG, which was released in October 2002. It features a swordsmith named Torneko, and his son, Poporo.
The game will feature randomized dungeons, and the return of the popular "Monster Friend system" featured in previous Dragon Quest (Dragon Warrior in the US) games. Square-Enix mentions, according to translation, "players can 'befriend' more than 180 types of monsters in the game, including Slimes and Momonja. In dungeons, items can be collected and powerful monsters can be trained. Unique to the GBA version is an additional mode, especially suited to the GBA's portable nature, where dungeons can be enjoyed any time, any place."
We'll have more as it develops.
