Does Nintendo plan to improve Switch performance when playing on a 4K TV?

I’m using the standard Nintendo Switch and I’ve noticed that when playing more demanding games (like Zelda or Xenoblade) on a 4K TV, the resolution and frame rate are still quite limited and sometimes don’t feel very smooth. Has Nintendo ever mentioned any plans to improve performance or image quality in TV mode through software updates (dock, firmware, etc.), or is this simply a hard limitation of the current Switch hardware?
